Summer Strawberry Sorbet

I just got home from the farmer’s market with a load of fresh strawberries. During the peak of the season you can get 3 pints for 5 or 6 bucks. They vary from year to year and even from vendor to vendor. But this year they have been fantastic, I think it’s the heat we’re having. The only problem with bringing home 3 beautiful pints of strawberries was I still had 2 pints left-over from last weekend. The answer: sorbet. Home Canning: Apricot Jam

I’ve been getting a lot of hits on my pickled beet page from people googling “how to can beets” or something similar. I think lots of people are afraid of canning. They think it’s hard, takes lots of time, requires lots of equipment, and could potentially make you sick if done wrong. I’m here to tell you canning is super easy. It doesn’t require much time or specialized equipment, and I don’t think you’re going to kill anyone unless maybe you’re canning mushrooms.
